The second day of the Still Waters Conference was intense and power packed. The event began by 12 pm on Saturday 18th May 2019 with the New Wine welcoming the presence of the Holy Spirit with songs of worship. Phil Thompson’s Atmosphere shift, rendered by Michael Omitunde ushered in an atmosphere of reassurance. The song reminded everyone in attendance that Jehovah El-Gibbor was present. Pastor Ayo Jolayemi, the Senior Pastor at the Shelter in his brief exhortation, based on 1 Corinthians 1:24, noted that Jesus has been revealed to establish the unfailing power of the word of God, to give eternal life to man [ John 10:10b] and to reconcile man back to God thereby procuring redemption.
Titled “Passion for God” Pastor Dotun’s message also centered on young people living their lives in Christ to the fullest, while validating God’s purposes for their lives. According to her “There’s a price to pay for the depth of revelation of Jesus in our lives, a sacrifice to pay and a cross to bear.
As the lead speaker for the day, her ministration was accompanied by words of exhortation, wisdom and prophetic prayer sessions for those in attendance. Speaking further, Pastor Dotun admonished the congregation that “It is the responsibility of a believer to set him/herself aside for God and to also search God out as recorded in John 21:15 and Matthew 16 26. Pastor Dotun’s lessons could be summarized thus;
“When you get to that point where you desire God’s will more than your own, that’s when he will be revealed to you”
Our desire matters when it comes to divine revelation
We all desire to have an extraordinary prayer life backed up by God’s grace
Tasha Cobbs’s This is a move, a song that has become a traditional anthem globally was also performed by New Wine’s lead vocalist, Inimfon Etoedia, The lyrics to Tasha Cobb’s song ” mountains are still being moved, strongholds are still being loosed, God we believe” was in line with the theme of the event “Jesus Revealed. It was a priceless moment, incomparable to nothing else. Young people in attendance gave their lives to Christ and there was an impartation session also.
To close the day, Pastor Yusuf Akila, from House on the Rock, Jos Plateau State briefly laid hold on God for about five minutes and delved into the word. Making scriptural reference to John 4:10, which reads“If you knew the gift of God and who it is that asks you for a drink, you would have asked him and he would have given you living water”. He added that “An encounter with Jesus leaves us permanently transformed noting that everything else will fade but Jesus will never fade”
I’m found at the axis of creative expressions. Using scripted words to change lives, influence change and build an enduring legacy of hope for generations yet unborn.
