At the Shelter today, we were blessed to host one of God’s leading voices in this generation – Pastor Dipo Koku. He shared God’s word with us titled “ Making Jesus Famous” According to him, in making Jesus famous, we must yield to the leading of the Holy Spirit because our lives are avenues for God’s encounter to reach other people. “Everything God makes happen for you, he is making it happen because He (God ) wants you to be a channel of blessing unto other people,” said Pastor Dipo
How do we make Jesus famous?
1. We start making Jesus famous in our lives and with the lifestyle, we chose to live. Romans 8:19 For the creation waits in eager expectation for the children of God to be revealed.
2. We make Jesus famous by modeling our lives after him; with integrity, diligence in our work and calling/ministry, been of good manners wherever we go.
3. We make Jesus famous by allowing God’s popularity fill the earth through evangelism, our work, attitudes and in the way we relate with other people Esther 4:13-15 13 he sent back this answer: “Do not think that because you are in the king’s house you alone of all the Jews will escape. 14. For if you remain silent at this time, relief and deliverance for the Jews will arise from another place, but you and your father’s family will perish. 15. And who knows but that you have come to your royal position for such a time as this?”
4. We make Jesus famous by our prayers of intercession and supplication on behalf of those who haven’t been saved or are yet to experience a true relationship with the father. Acts 4:13 When they saw the courage of Peter and John and realized that they were unschooled, ordinary men, they were astonished and they took note that these men had been with Jesus.
5. Go is waiting on us to announce his second coming. Habakkuk 2: 14 For the earth will be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the Lord
as the waters cover the sea.
