The Still Waters Conference might have come and gone but the memories are still very fresh in our minds. Last Sunday 19th May marked the end of the three-day event which began on the 17th of May. Speakers at the event included Pastor Dotun Arifalo, Pastor Yusuf Akila from House on The Rock Jos Plateau State, Pastor Ayoola Jolayemi, the host and Pastor Victor Akintunde
The event, which began on Friday, May 17th with an all-night session peaked into a healing and deliverance session as many young people in attendance yielded to the power of the Holy Spirit. Everyone had an encounter with the Holy Spirit in several dimensions as God made his presence known. Host Pastors at the Shelter Pastor Ayo and Seyi took turns to lead prayers to thank God for the third edition of the Still Waters Conference before the choir began their ministration
The guest speaker Pastor Victor Akintunde’s ministration was an unusual ministration. He mentioned that as God said in Jeremiah 1:5, God’s intention and plan for our lives was already laid out before we were born and as such, everything in our lives must seek to glorify God and crucify the flesh. He also harped on the need to build a deep, committed and steady relationship with the Holy Spirit as this will make the spirit man in us to be submissive to the Holy Spirit. “Before God speaks to you, you must have a relationship with him,” He said.
The event featured the rendition of various gospel numbers by the host choir – New Wine. Songs like William Murphy’s “You are my strength” was performed by Kola Jolayemi’ lead Psalmist at the Shelter. Here are some pictures from the first day of the event.Happy viewing!
